Hi Sheila: I have included you in a poetry challenge. If you are not into this sort of thing, please feel free not to participate. It is supposed to be fun. The challenge is to post a poem about what LOVE ISβ¦. to you. The criteria are: the poem is 10 lines long, each line begins with the word love and is only 4 words long. When you have completed the poem post it and list 15 other bloggers you think would enjoy the challenge. You can read more about this challenge at https://lightwalker1.wordpress.com/. Hi Sheila, I’ve really enjoyed following your blog the past few months and really enjoy your poetic style. As a result, I’ve nominated you for the Creative Blogger Award!! Check out the link below for more details and keep up the great work! π https://reposedthought.wordpress.com/2015/04/20/creative-blogger-award/
Hi Sheila, thanks for your follow and letting me entertain you! Great minimalist look in your blog, canβt wait to browse around here too. Iβm heading off to your punctuation poem now… π
Loved reading your poems. Thank you liking mine and following the blog. I look forward to reading more of yours. You mentioned you write short stories. Are they on your site as well? There are a couple on my site that I wrote. Feel free to check them out. Many thanks.
Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me know you enjoyed some of my writing. I haven’t written a short story in quite a bit, I think poetry comes easier to me but I have some up form when I started this blog. I’ll definitely stop by and read your stories shortly. Thank you again.
That’s the thing about poetry, isn’t it? It comes. It used to come to me many years ago, then it stopped for a good 2 decades. And then it came again. And I have no idea how long it will stay. It takes a certain degree of emotional distress for me to be able to write and that is not a state to endlessly be in. Any thoughts on what makes you write?
Hey Sheila
keep up the good work. I like your poems ! There’s an element of surprise that I really liked.
Thank you for following me just wish I knew how I could do the same iwth you I m looking for the follow button I m still exploring your poetic”thalassa”
Thanks very much for following The Immortal Jukebox. I hope you will enjoy lots of entertaining writing and the wide variety of music. I usually post once a week. Please feel free to add comments. If it’s been a while since you visited come on over and see what’s new! Good luck with your blog. Regards Thom.
Thanks for following my art blog, Sheila. I will admit that short of a very few poets (William Blake, Poe, Wilfred Owen, Sylvia Plath and maybe the Romantics), I haven’t followed much poetry but I like your style very much. It reminds me of some of the great stream of consciousness poetsβ¦You might like Ted Berrigan and Alice Notley for example (especially Ted Berrigan)…
Oh wow, that’s so rad. I love Berrigan and Notely.. thanks for the compliment and coming by, you made my night. I dig your blog, I look forward to following it. π
π will like reading yours too. I’m a writer and I can paint/draw but the only poems I ever wrote which were not horrible were dramatic monologues. Maybe I’ll post one for fun some day. It started.. “Herr Schloober poo poos Les Demoiselles d’Avignon⦔
Yes I do tweet my haiku since Twitter is a good short form medium. Lots of other poets there too. But WP does a great job of getting verse out there as well!
