you are the sun
I am the wax figurine
on our window sill
you are the sun
I am the mint leaf
in our tea
you are the sun
I am your light reflecting
on the sea
you are the sun
I am the unwatered thyme
in our garden

this brings life to the words of another great poet: every word is a fossilized poem. ❤️

In a leisurely pace is painted one scene several times, each with a new face. And the development is strong, even though light in touch. Lots of work is done so simply. Great poem.

Your love of home and togetherness rings loudly, and drew me right in to a happy home. I could even hear the lapping of sea waves. I love this one because it flows as easily as love does. “I am the unwatered thyme in our garden” has me wondering, is it unwatered because love is so happy, or the other way around? Either way I truly love this poem.
