it’s only space
between
pluto
& neptune.
you know
even galileo
was empirically
incorrect.
fixed stars
or planets..
only orbit
makes the difference
orbit
and distance
maybe a core?
no matter
I don’t believe
they ever
know the sun
and honestly
I am
so tired
of dreaming
that I am sliding
my fingers
over the baby hairs
near your face.
– Sheila C.
Very different of your others poems.
I like that.

It is different, no? something came over me, I guess. It’s all just a metaphor anyway. 😉

Well, the metaphor is the language of the dreams, of the poets and of the deities.

Powerful switch of scale and perspective – bit like John Donne!

Here’s a bit of Donne that shows his panoramic perspective:
‘And now good morrow to our waking souls,
Which watch not one another out of fear;
For love, all love of other sights controls,
And makes one little room an everywhere.
Let sea discoverers to new worlds have gone,
Let maps to other, worlds on worlds have shown,
Let us possess one world; each hath one, and is one.’
