there’s a theory
in quantum mechanics
an utterly complex
& difficult theory
to understand-
much less explain
without proper expertise
and divisive research.
put simply,
it states that
our universe,
our past,
our present
and our future
are a part of an
infinite number
of universes.
so many,
in fact
that every possible
outcome,
reality
and scenario
is happening,
has happened
and will happen.
I take comfort in this theory.
I bend my knees in gratitude
because in this possibility
there is another-
one, where you and I
have a chance,
a feasible chance
somewhere outside
the tangle
of this life
and the next.
I only hope
they grasp the luck
we’ve been denied.

Yes but it’s cold comfort sometimes

True but cold comfort is better than none when we’re most desperate for something.

Awesome! written poem.

Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity are both accepted as scientific fact even though they’re mutually exclusive. Albert Einstein spent the second half of his life searching for a unifying truth that would reconcile the two.

Ah! I’m familiar! I love quantum mechanics and I’ve been trying to incorporate the theories into my poetry.. it’s just difficult to simplify the complexity behind them. I need more research, etc. Thank you!

Not sure I understood, but laughed at end. Seriously, what if WE are the ones with good luck?
