there are two outcomes.
in one we get to the end
and sort through meaning.
in the other i get to the end.
and really, im only slightly afraid.
you see,
i’ve seen the bottom of the atlantic
i’ve had the white dreamless sleep
and all i seem to remember
of the haze
is rest.

It’s interesting that in the beginning its two traveling the path and at the end, your alone. My thought is, is it exhaustion that causes the rest, or something else… Good work here got me thinking

I really enjoy how your poems read like stories. My favorite part this time:
“in one we get to the end
and sort through meaning.
in the other i get to the end.”
