Brevity is the soul of wit, and having gone through more than my share of reef-bound relationships, I can imagine a couple of scenarios on this line. One interpretation offers refuge and consolation; the other, not. Lives in — perhaps “on” in the case of not. As in satisfaction and some level of redemption. I suppose I prefer the latter, as it seems much more likely in this day and age of ruthless and throwaway relationships. But then, that’s just me.
